Ready to Get International Accreditation, Three FIPP Study Programs Visited by AQAS Assessors

Efforts to realize Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) as a world-reputable university continue to be accomplished. One of them is to add internationally accredited study programs.

To realize this, the three study programs at the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP) were visited by the Agency for Quality Assurance through the Accreditation of Study Programmes (AQAS) on Tuesday (11/21).

The three study programs are the Educational Technology Study Program (S1), the Nonformal Education Study Program (S1), and the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (S1).

There are seven indicators in the AQAS accreditation assessment, including Curriculum quality; Quality Assurance; Student learning, teaching, and assessment; Student admissions, study progress, Recognition, and Certification; Faculty; Learning resources and student support; and Public Information.

In addition to realizing the vision as a world-reputable university, this accreditation is also needed to meet one of the Key Performance Indicators (IKU) of higher education, especially IKU 8, namely the International Accreditation Study Program as a ranking measure for State Universities (PTN).

AQAS is an independent accreditation agency originating from Germany. This institution is an international quality assurance institution recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendikbudristek).

The expert team from AQAS consists of Prof. Dr, Volker Schubert, University of Hildesheim, Professor of Education Sciences (Germany); Assoc. Vi Le dan Alexandre Wipf accompanied the team as AQAS consultants.
